The 'Zon might not be the first place you’d think to shop for the world's greatest bed sheets, but the retailer's vast catalogue does mean the best sheets on Amazon are at least easily Prime-able if your couch-surfing cousin comes in to town last-minute—and abundantly backed by second opinions if you're researching what's actually worth investing in. See, even though the e-tailer is filled with pages and pages of shoddy (sometimes straight-up shady) products, thanks to the millions of shoppers who have some very strong takes on crispness and quality, it's at least easy to weed out the good sheets from the absolutely dismal. And that's exactly what we did, surfacing some of the best-reviewed sets online, along with some of our very favorites that we can vouch for first-hand.
That bare mattress won't cover itself. Get straight to the picks so you can finally get a better night's sleep ASAP.
Amazon is notorious for stocking some unvetted products from not-so-well-known third-party brands. While this makes it easy to get affordable dupes for things you might not want to splurge on, it's a different story when it comes to bed sheets, a product you spend hours with every day and something that comes into close contact with your body. Here's what you should take note of when shopping for bed sheets on Amazon.
Materials: We already dove into common bed sheet materials in our big guide to bedding, but here's a briefer. Cotton, whether it's in a crisp percale or silky sateen weave, is great for affordability, comfort, and longevity. A lot of bed sheets on Amazon are cheap because they're made of super-affordable microfiber, a synthetic that is soft but maybe not so great for hot sleepers and a material that'll take a beating after one too many runs in the washer. Linen is an overall excellent bedding material, and we love that thicker weaves can even be used in the cooler months. And a seasonal material like flannel is really only good for the fall and winter unless you're running your AC all summer long.
Return Policy: Like anything you buy on Amazon, the item's return policy is always a need-to-know, especially when it comes to buying bed sheets from brands you're not totally sure are legit. Even better is having a brand offer a warranty for your bed sheets, just in case something goes wrong with your bed sheets, whether they fell apart in the wash or you managed to tear it while trying to stretch the actual bedding over your mattress.
Customer Reviews: Hyper-enthusiastic Amazon reviewers will be very happy to tell you about their purchase, so comb through the ratings on any bed sheet set you're considering to make sure other people haven't had problems with it in the past. And if they have, let their problems inform your decisions.
So whether you need some bed sheets lickety-split—courtesy of Prime's very generous two-day shipping policy—or you just need a who's who on the lesser-known brands that are trying to shill you stuff, here are the best bed sheets on Amazon that are easy on your wallet and even easier on your body.

"Hotel sheets" and Amazon might feel like two separate entities entirely, but Mellani's luxury sheet set is one area where the two reasonably intersect. With over 300,000 reviews on Amazon to its credit (the majority being five star ratings), this set is one of Amazon's top-selling bedding offerings—and for very good reason. It's wildly soft, thanks to a brushed microfiber exterior that's also blessedly shrink-resistant in the wash, and a screaming deal for what you get: a full sheet set including pillowcases, a top sheet, plus a fitted sheet, all finished off with the same stylish stitched hem. It's especially a boon for people with plusher-than-average beds, as the sheets come with deep pockets so you won't have to tussle with it to fit it on your mattress. Best of all, Mellani's promise of quality sheets comes with a lifetime warranty if you're less than thrilled with how yours have held up over time. Yes, you essentially get these bed sheets guaranteed for life, fine print be damned.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "These are currently my favorite sheets. I recently bought [three] or [four] new sheets to find 'the one' and so far, these are the best. I usually sleep warm but I don't find myself soaked in sweat with these. I have pets who sleep with me and that means their hair is everywhere. With these sheets, I don't feel every single hair. It's frigging amazing. These sheets are extremely soft."

If you're clueless on what kind of bed sheets you actually want, percale is usually a good place to start. Percale cotton has the benefit of being crisp, breezy, and cool to the touch (it's why actual hotel linens tend to use a percale weave), and a single spin cycle in the washer and dryer will render them even softer for your next snooze. Reviewers praise this percale sheet set from Linen Home for its excellent handfeel, which comes at a very sensible 50 bones for a full set. The set may not have the longest shelf-life in the linen closet, and they probably won't feel like a million bucks, but they will give you a better night's sleep than the raggedy threads you've been holding onto since college.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "I’m impressed. I ordered two sheets: this one from Amazon (cheap) and more expensive (like [times eight] expensive) from another site. I was quite pessimistic about what kind of quality they can deliver for 20-[something] dollars. But decided to try anyway. To my surprise both sheets are of the highest quality. I actually came back to order another size since the quality is comparable to the expensive Egyptian cotton sheets while it's also affordable."

Sateen sheets offer a certain luxurious feel thanks to their unique cotton weave, which is tighter and less airy than percale (so, better for cooler months), with a slickness to it that feels extra silky against the skin. Brooklinen's are some of our favorites of the genre for their handsome prints and quality, pill-resistant threads. Though the retailer does most of its business directly through its website, a selection of its bedding has made its way to Amazon. Don't miss out on the Luxe bed sheets, which feel extra smooth and have a delicate sheen to them. The Brooklinen website offers a wider selection of prints and colors, but if you need the brand's bedding ASAP, you can express ship them from Amazon.

What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "I’ve always wanted great sheets at home; something that reminds me of a five-star hotel stay. These are them. I will never waste time and money on cheap sheets again. With these I bought happiness. I love going to bed. Also I suggest getting extra standard pillowcases"
Material: Linen Includes: Fitted sheet, two pillowcasesReturn policy: 30 daysWarranty: None
Sijo's linen bed sheets are somewhat of an anomaly. That's because they’re more wallet-friendly than you might expect from linen bed sheets, especially for a high-quality, flax linen set like this. Unlike the typical burlap-y feel of some linen fabrics, these sheets ship out stonewashed (meaning they've already undergone a breaking-in and pre-shrinking process before they even get to you) and are quite soft out of the box. They also come in a variety of colors, from pinstripes to neutrals. Though they're not the airiest linens we've ever tried—we'd recommend these for in-between seasons and winter, not for the depths of summer—the Okeo-Tex-certified fabric is hardy, handsome, wrinkle-resistant, and built-to-last year after year.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "This has been my only set of sheets for about [five] months, washing weekly (I wash on warm, and dry on low or medium). They are PERFECT. No pilling, washes well, keeps me cool in the summer (I don't have [AC] in my bedroom) and cozy in the winter. As long as I put them on the bed right when they come out of the dryer there is very minimal/gentle wrinkling which I think gives a cozier vibe. 100% recommend and plan to buy a second set this year."

OK, so if Sijo's linen sheets are still a little too out of your price range, but you're still jonesing for some airy threads to sleep under, this well-reviewed linen sheet set from Simple & Opulence will still scratch that luxury itch. And if over 1,300 reviewers are to be believed, then this is an excellent budget linen sheet set. For the record, these are not fully linen—it's actually a blend of linen and cotton, which keeps the price low, but that shouldn't deter you from scooping one. As a happy reviewer notes, "I really like the thickness of the material, it feels like high quality and like it will stand up to repeated use and my husband's sharp toenails." Thanks for the visual! If these sheets can withstand some damage from this reviewer's husband's claws, then they can surely withstand your (definitely pedicured) toenails, right?
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "I wanted some sheets made from natural fibers and pure linen is so pricey. These give a similar look and feel of linen but aren't as wrinkly or expensive. They feel great against the skin and wash well. I've washed and dried them twice so far according to the tag's directions (gentle cycle) and they held up well. If they continue to hold up well, I definitely want to buy more!"

Take what you know about Eddie Bauer flannels, and apply that to a set of bed sheets: You're looking at something that's ultra soft and cozy for single digit winter nights, plus decked out in a plaid colorway befitting of your grungiest layers. This set comes triple-brushed for extra softness, so it will be even harder to peel yourself out of bed during Daylight Savings Time, and doesn't pill too horribly in and out of the washing machine. The only real drawback is that this set comes in queen and king sizes exclusively, but the brand does sell other patterns in fuller ranges. And did we mention that these patterns are reeeeeeal cute?

What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "Perfect flannel sheets. I spent way too much time online reading negative reviews about thin flannels, stiff fabrics, pilling flannels, etc…I feel like I hit the jackpot with these Eddie Bauer flannel sheets, because these sheets are absolutely wonderful. They're so soft, and they wash-up perfectly. They are not thin, or cheap."

With over 16,000 reviews on the ‘Zon and an average rating of 4.5 out of 5, it's hard to resist shopping these flannel puppies, crawling between them, and taking a long, long snooze. The brand says the weave is all Turkish cotton, which is made of longer fibers than premium Pima cotton (in plain speak, these sheets should be softer and more durable). While we can't verify those claims first-hand, one reviewer did note that they are "soft and warm, but not sweaty." One problem with flannel sheets is their tendency to pill in the wash, but other Amazon reviewers noted confirm that their flannel sheets come out of the dryer pill-free wash after wash.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "I bought these sheets for when my daughter stayed with me as she gets cold at night. They were so comfortable and cozy, she didn't want me to get out of bed. She took them home with her! Only warning is when you wash them the first time there is a tremendous amount of lint."

Your favorite comfy t-shirt has nothing on these jersey sheets from Amazon Basics, which fall squarely in the sub-$50 range. For a dorm room twin XL or a rarely used guest bed, they're just the right price point, and reviewers seem happy with the quality of the fabric, too. These sheets are a solid combination of lightweight and breathable, boasting a lived-in softness that doesn't easily pill after repeat usage. Plus, they come in a number of solids if you'd prefer to mix it up with a chambray or dark green.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "Very happy with these sheets. They wash/dry well, and are soft and comfortable. I usually use flannel sheets in the fall and winter. I bought these sheets for spring and summer. But, they could be used in cool weather too as they definitely add some warmth. I will be buying another set of these in a different color."

Peru Pima is one of those brands you probably wouldn't know about if it weren't for Amazon's algorithm. It doesn't have the same name recognition as Brooklinen or Parachute, say, but if you’re looking for excellent sheets from Amazon, it's certainly one to know. Its temperature-regulating bed sheets utilize a sateen weave, which we found to be just shy of the buttery-soft feel we liked in the Brooklinen sheets. They’re designed to regulate body temperature (keeping you cool in the summer and cozy when the mercury drops), a feature that we found rung true to their branding in our testing. We also dig that these sheets are made from eco-friendly, Oeko-Tex-certified cotton as a feel-good bonus.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "The thread count, durability of seams and the quality of pima cotton used is exceptional. You can immediately feel that the cotton used to produce these bedsheets are cultivated from cotton plants that were properly taken care of. The seams are straight, though it is hemmed on single ply and not double. Fortunately this has not affected the durability of the product. The cotton itself is strong enough to handle my dog constantly scratching at it so I know the quality is top notch."

In the same vein of temperature-regulating sheets, bamboo fabrics have the innate ability to stay silky and cool no matter how high the humidity climbs at night. It's why bamboo-made bed sheets are some of the best options for those who tend to wake up feeling like they just ran a marathon. Bedsure's cooling sheet set is made of bamboo viscose, which gives them a certain glide, and they're even moisture-wicking so you don't wake up drenched in sweat. Also, the fitted sheet fits snugly on even the loftiest mattresses (up to 16 inches), thanks to its deep pockets.

What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "I LOVE these sheets! The 18-inch deep pockets fit our queen bed perfectly, and for the first time in forever, I can sleep cool at night! We got the seafoam green embroidered set, and I want to buy sets in blue, lilac, white, and every other cool color I can find."

For the absolute budget shopper, Amazon's in-house line Amazon Basics is great for getting your feet wet. Nothing that we've tried from the line has been horribly off, and if you're not really a stickler on quality toppers for your pullout couch, this lightweight sheet set is a slam dunk for travelers who are passing through—or simply passing out. They even top Mellanni's as the retailer's best-reviewed bedding of all, which is maybe the price point (less than 20 bucks!), or the super-soft feel. Either way, you can't go wrong with this set of sheets.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "These are the nicest sheets I've ever owned, and that's saying a lot because my late husband always insisted on very high thread-count, expensive sheets. I was not really expecting much at this price point but needed to get new sheets for my son. When they arrived, I was amazed at the softness, as well as the fit. I ended up putting the second set on my bed and I absolutely LOVE them."

If you're a stickler about fabrication, Lane Linen's extremely well-reviewed cotton sheets are certified organic by the Global Organic Textile Standards. At this price, you'd usually be stuck with some microfiber sheet set that feels about as natural as pleather, but for 100% cotton (which, again, are organic), these are hard to beat. Reviewers note that they're prone to wrinkles, but emerge from the dryer wonderfully soft and breathable. The sheets also feature a delicate seed-stitched hem to dial in that "fancy sheets" vibe.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "[Had these] sheets close to a couple of years. Great product that hasn't thinned out or bunched. I do cycle through a few sheets but nothing has caused concern for the product life or quality."
Material: Microfiber Includes: Flat sheet, fitted sheet, four pillowcasesReturn policy: Free returns within 30 daysWarranty: None
With nearly two dozen color options to choose from (spanning lavender to burgundy to just plain white), CGK sheets are for those who want to switch things up a lot—and often. They're microfiber, hence the low price point, but repeat shoppers note that the fabric feels more like a soft hug than a cheap tarp, and looks expensive in a guest bedroom. A few people experienced ripping and seam-pulling after a few washes, but the vast majority seem to be very happy campers with how the sheets have held up over time.
What Amazon Reviewers Are Saying: "I love the light blue color. The sheets are soft and I haven't seen virtually any wrinkling when washed in cold water. They are easy to use since they fit very well with deep pockets. I can make up my queen size bed much faster."
